The Alexander Table Collection in Gray from Target -- the bookcase is only $99.99!

Wire spheres from West Elm, sorta Bill Blass if you put one in a classical urn. The 18-incher is $54 but worth it.

Pottery Barn's Taylor Vintage Steel Bedside Table for $399. Love the little brass knob on black metal. Sanitarium chic?

Zinc "Lighthouse" lamp from Wisteria. Must they make that comparison? It's an interesting shape nonetheless. And dear God let's replace that hideous ecru drum-bell shade with a black lacquered coolie number. $189.

An X-Ray of Frank Gifford's right leg? No, the Johnny Floor Lamp from CB2. Very architectonic as they say. Or very Angelo Donghia -- check out the floor lamp and coffee table in that last, unbelievably fabulous emerald green room. CB2 has half the look down, now why can't they venture into classical territory and make, say, a George II mirror out of lightweight resin? Just askin'.

Love your finds!!!
ReplyDeleteI love obscure Zoolander references. Grey is derelicte-esque. can't wait to see you tomorrow xo
ReplyDeleteGoing to Target today...
ReplyDeleteI like the large wire sphere in an urn idea. I think a pair of the large ones in wrought iron urns from Smith and Hawken silhouetted in 2 front living room windows would be very chic.
ReplyDeleteI had some wire spheres like the ones you've shown, but they were copper. I got them at the American Craft Council show. They lived in the garden and looked wonderful!
ReplyDeletesanitarium chic ... love that. the spheres are great-looking.
ReplyDeleteThe spheres have it! If only I had a big table to 'scape. Pigtown I am all about copper too, and the combination of polished with the green-y oxidized color. Copper + mint + kelly green is hot!!
ReplyDeleteYAY ! I love that "Johnny Lamp" more than I can describe.
ReplyDeletethanks for posting.
I've been long admiring that gray Target bookcase too....waiting for it to go discount (which it just has). I think you might have convinced me to finally get it.
ReplyDeleteme likey those spheres--might have to get some! Thanks Nick!
ReplyDeleteI seriously like that CB2 lamp. In a country famous for its lighting, it is seriously hard to find useful - not ambiance - lighting in Morocco. sigh.
ReplyDeleteFrank Gifford?! That's hilarious. Good finds! Knowing most of them will go on sale before you can turn around!
ReplyDeleteAm I the only person who looks at the Johnny lamp and thinks "Cylon!"?
ReplyDeleteNicky baby, there you are! I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to read your witty remarks again! I'm so glad to have stumbled upon your blog!
ReplyDeletethe fact that you were lost to me in the blog world and now I have found you has made my deal craving heart all a flutter! Yay for Nick!
ReplyDeleteI was in my local west elm a few weeks ago and stumbled upon those spheres as well. I adore them and they take me back to the copper pipe spheres made famous by Martha Sturdy. Not sure if i could commit to them I go through accessories like bag of rips

ReplyDeleteI love all the stuff that you have in this post but what I really love the most is the lamp. It has a very futuristic design and It really attracts me.
