A Pilgrim-esque Linda Evangelista photographed by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia, June 2008. A full year ago! And check out that headline: I'm sure Jennifer is too humble to make a connection, but I see a lot of her moderne gentility in this photo. And maybe a little Pauline de Rothschild by Horst. Oh, and the Napoleon French Bakery back in Pensacola boasted this huge, bizarro New England-themed photo mural WAY before photo murals were popular! I never understood the connection between croissants and water mills/fall foliage but it had a certain chic.

They're photographing her from quite a distance now.
ReplyDeleteone of the all-time great editorials.
ReplyDeleteit's magic when those two collaborate!
The PUG! No one mentions the cute little guy on his bed? Love the pug - more please!
ReplyDeleteGreat cover! (Sidenote: TN has been more like Calcutta in July since May. Not ideal. And yeah, I stole that phrase from Dorothy Zbornak.)
