SCAD Style

Just a little heads up that I'm thrilled to be a part of SCAD Style this year, chatting on a panel with my esteemed blogrades (that's "blogger comrades") Rita Konig, Eddie Ross and Jaithan Kochar! We're doing our shtick -- From Magazine to Monitor: The Rise of the Blog -- in Atlanta AND Savannah, this Thursday and Friday, respectively. I've never visited "The Hostess City of the South" and can't wait to see its gorgeous architecture, meet with SCAD students and get inspired by all their talent. Also just found out that Michelle Adams, Lonny and Rubie Greene's wunderkind/mini-mogul, will be moderating!! She'll keep us on track lest I digress into Dixie Carter eulogies. Now if I can just find a way to meet the Lady Chablis ...

Anyway, come see us if you're in the hood!

  1. Savannah is my absolute favorite city in the U.S. Everything oozes romance. The architecture, vegetation and historic squares are ridiculously gorgeous, the food is delicious and the shops are quirky and unexpected. Have fun Nick!

  4. What a fun event! I had the pleasure of attending SCAD for a semester and just adore it. I hope that you enjoy everything that the hostess city has to offer! A little while ago, I did a post on my favorite things to do and see in Savannah if you would like some tips. Enjoy!!

  8. Nick, you're going to love Savannah (and probably Atlanta, too)! Are you going to Paula's restaurant? I know it's touristy, but it's stellar. Can you imagine meeting her?

And if you have time, the Atlanta Cupcake Factory is delightful. Have a blast!

  9. Savannah is a dichotomy still. I visited as a child 40 years ago when the old houses were still old-now they are Historic. It does have a very good and evil vibe. Enjoy the mint juleps. pgt

  13. Thanks y'all! I'm super pumped and almost packed. Just forced Sean to Google the sartorial rules of linen and seersucker while I ironed ... the latter's a no-go. I'll report back!
