and ask for your help. I think Ballard's Durham end tables are quite handsome and a steal at $249 each. I need a pair for this epic condo project I'm working on (like, yesterday), so with a flick of the wrist I put two in my shopping cart ...AND THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL 6/14/10.
Was the red text really necessary, BD? While we're at it, don't label your Coventry Banquette "In stock and ready to ship" if every single component takes 4-6 weeks to deliver, even in a stocked fabric. But back to tables. HomeDecorators used to carry some similar "Figo" series (for more money) but that no longer exists ... I'm considering these new Restoration reclaimed elm Parsons tables but we're at the point when 200 more bucks for end tables means 10 fewer tchotchkes. Any leads out there? The search has led me to some bleaker corners of the Internet -- bupkis. Am I losing my touch?
** INSTANT UPDATE** The RH tables aren't available until 6/12. THIS IS MADDENING.

Nick, go ahead and order the ones from BD and then be on the look out for others. Love them.

I'd order the Ballard ones, too, and just cross your fingers you find something else first!
ReplyDeleteFellow blogger, Sissy, had some great luck with contacting Ballards recently about another item not in stock. Here's the link with the name of the Ballards rep.:

ReplyDeleteWhat about the Decker End Table ($248) at Anthropologie?

shoot, just realized it also has 4-6 weeks for delivery...
ReplyDeleteWithin minutes of reading your post, I spotted something in another post that might be substituted. Go to overstock.com and search monaco rustic. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Wisteria or Sundance Catalog? They have a similar aesthetic, maybe they carry a look-a-like? It's worth a try! Good luck Nick! :)
ReplyDeleteFor $365 each wholesale try these...in stock and could ship today fedex.....

Thanks everyone!! Good options here ... will keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteSo I love you all like my own little babies, but EAC wins the day. That Monaco table looks identical to Bull Durham but for 40 bucks less! I just ordered two and a bunch of other Overstock goodies I've had my eye on. I owe you an e-cocktail!!
ReplyDeleteHooray for a solution...and for less..even bettah.
ReplyDeleteAwesome... Did you ever actually order anything from Ballards? I am constantly putting things in a shopping cart and then abandoning them.
ReplyDeleteAlright, so I'm late...but not as late as those tables. And I had my garter-belt-around-the-table-leg-for-good-luck joke all lined up. Damn.
ReplyDeleteSome one may have mentioned this already, I dont have time to read all the comments right this minute. I am rushing out the door. But Crate and barrel has a similar line of tables.. Pacifica... and the side table goes for $199 .. try that one.. great lines and drift wood... good luck !
ReplyDeleteNicole: I have to admit I'm still a Ballard virgin. Those tables almost took my flower ... it was not meant to be.
ReplyDeleteTommy: I know you have a million of 'em. Or like my dad always ways, now down to 990,000.
Alex I like the Pacific line's materials but something about that little apron under the top bugs. It's like C&B has something against the pure Parsons shape?
Hi Nick, Try contacting a Canadian wholesalers called Bacon Basket. They have similar and maybe they'll sell you a pair. Prices are great but sorry I don't know them or have a photo -- saw them at the gift show in Toronto in Jan. click here for contact deets:

Nick, anytime you need something rustic I can help. I make furniture our of reclaimed barn wood from NC. It's a hobby for now, but if I can see a pic, I can build it. I have some examples on FB, you can get there from here -> www.goodwoodonline.net Primitive site? Maybe, but I am in NC (No banjo jokes necessary).
ReplyDeletefrustrating, but a great find.
ReplyDeletehave your local iron shop make the base and use wood from shipping pallets (with a decent sanding and waxing)for the shelves. should be pretty cheap!
ReplyDeleteNick I have confidence you can buy anything and make it beautiful by touching it up.
