My Main Thrill In Life

Is a makeover. Cher Horowitz and I have buttloads in common, truly. So imagine my delight when a consultation client of mine, the adorable shelter writer Mary Kate Frank, tweeted moi this piece on her teensy Manhattan studio apartment's about-face. Before:

After:

And really that's more of an "in progress" shot because she plans on going whole hog with my li'l decorating roadmap ... could that mean a gigunda framed panel of Schumacher's "Singeries" wallpaper is in the works for that expanse of exposed brick??

Honestly, MK had me at "I like jewel tones" (the iced elephant cookies she served didn't hurt either) but a young gal who gets the fabulousness of dancing monkeys with paint palettes and green fans?? So, so gratifying. Brava, missy -- can't wait to see what's next!!

  11. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a beautiful before and after...especially when it starts with an exposed brick wall...are you going to show the other side of the room?
