Did you know Mercury has been in retrograde since March 30th and will be for, oh, 28 more hours? Hence the communication breakdown. Also, lotsa stuff is popping off in my little lacquered universe. Good stuff! Mostly, if you don't count every appliance that broke for no reason, delivery trucks that stalled on the interstate, and a stuck up kitten that wouldn't sign autographs ...
So! I forgot to blog and tweet and messenger pigeon the fact that resident Lonny baby geniuses Michelle, Patrick and Co. have teamed up with Traditional Home for the online mag TRADhome, and that they were kind enough to have me design a chair. I LOVE chairs!! I have eight in my tiny little den of iniquity here ... fodder for my forthcoming TLC network show, Style Hoarders. That's it above in this Designer's Guild fabric (which reminded me of the Met's latest staging of La Traviata, meaning very Eyes Wide Shut meets Madonna's 'Material Girl' video as designed by Dolce & Gabbana). Along with my fave Chris Spitzmiller lamp, Mugatu for Oscar for Century table, and Maddie Castaing book.
It's a fab issue, but you knew that a week ago. So what else is not new??

That Designers Guild fabric is one of my favorites. Good job on the chair!

ReplyDeleteGrapes! How often do you see grapes in upholstery fabric?
ReplyDeleteI like this because it would probably make Barbara Barry's head spin around like Linda Blair's.

ooo, a tv show? excited!
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is very of-the-moment in an interesting way. (Usually fashion is leaps and bounds ahead of interior design, as u know.) Nice creative radar! Stumbled on this Jil Sander dress randomly http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/111223 No grapes, though.
ReplyDeleteYessssss Tradhome is good, and that chair is badass. I am addicited to chairs too. Almost in a bad way. I have 4 in my garage now waiting for my attention. A touch embarrasing, but mostly excited for when I blow minds with the post-redo coolness.
